What are macros?

Macros are an amazing nutritional framework. It’s different from counting calories.

Macros are short for Macronutrients. The big nutrients in food, so Protein, Carbs and Fats.

When you track macro, you’re focusing on Protein, Carbs and Fats and how your body feels on them (Or I do in my program… LOL It’s not mainstream, it’s my own spin on it!)

Everybody’s body is different… and we burn different nutrients differently.

The great thing about macro tracking is you can learn what your body likes…

Once you fine tune this, it balances hormones and keeps weight loss pretty consistent… oh maintenance is a breeze!

I’m not losing weight, will Macros help me?

YES! With a caveat… of course!    If you have been living on extremely low calorie diets for a long period of time, macros may take some time to start healing your system so that you can begin losing weight steadily and consistently after you heal.  

Can Macros help me balance my hormones?

YES!  One of the reasons our hormones become unbalanced is that we cut fat from our diet. And cut calories too low, this causes havoc in the body. With macros we get the right amount of fat and enough calories to increase metabolism. This begins the process of balancing your hormones.

What Macros do I need to lose weight fast?

Quick weight loss of greater than 2 pounds a week is not permanent. None of the programs, or guides I offer encourage or promote fast and unhealthy weight loss. My goal is to help you reach your goal and stay there. The ONEderland Wellness and MacroUnicorn programs are not designed to provide you with a weight loss of greater than 2 pounds a week.

What is the "Macros Done Right!™" Framework?
Macros Done Right!™ is the framework coach Michelle developed and has used for coaching women over 40 to lose weight.

Weight loss is about more than “eat less and move more”, and as we age the method no longer works anyway.

So we address the following:

Food Mindset – every bite you take is a choice.  So why do you make the choices you make when the choice in question with take you farther from reaching your goal.

Macros as a Nutritional Framework – no more food rules as long as your tracking what you eat and balancing your plate (If it’s possible to balance a smothered burrito anything is possible!) Macros are an amazing tool that take the confusion out of why the weight won’t come off! And we don’t cut calories too low, so you have room to eat many of the foods you love and still lose weight.

Movement You Enjoy – No more excuses… you don’t have to work out for hours doing something you hate.  Creating a healthy lifestyle is all about finding movement you love and adding movement to things you have to do anyway.  You can get in a darn good workout dancing while you get ready for work or cleaning house.

Healthy Habit Rituals –  Routines makes things so much easier.  So Macros Done Right!™ Focuses on creating small habits over time, so that the process is easy and permanent.
