My Background-Who am I?

I struggled a lifetime with obesity, most of my life I needed a 100 pound weight loss.
 
I don’t want anyone to struggle this way. 
 
Weight loss is hard, but it’s hard because we didn’t learn healthy habits, and I don’t know about you, but my mindset sucked!
 
 
Dieting was so frustrating, overwhelming and more than a little scary for most of my life. I knew failure was in the cards… but I learned a new way.
 
 
 
This new way lights my fire everyday to get up and share it with women that are  like I was… stuck in overwhelm and despair over all the weight they carry both inside and out!
 
I was put on my first diet at the age of 9. They would “encourage” me to eat less and move more at every visit. No one should feel this way, especially a child.
 
I have made it my goal to teach women so they can teach their daughters, so this circle doesn’t continue!
 
 I don’t want other girls to feel  hopeless and powerless to change. No one should feel the furry, I felt  with my inability to just eat what they suggested so I could lose weight. 
 
They didn’t understand… I wanted to do as they suggested. I almost didn’t feel I had any control. A result of this lack of control and dire hunger led to eating more and gaining more.
 
At such a young age, I should have been happy. I should have been enjoying life. Instead I was terrified people would notice how fat I was. To hide my fears I would crawled in my shell. Then I would eat a box of Nutroll candy bars to sooth the utter disappointment in myself.

Why do I do this?

 
In my 40’s I new I had to change.  I started with my food, but there was so much more! 
 
I finally learned how to control my mind and thoughts and learned to hack my diet habits with macros to lose weight. 
 
For the last 7 years, I have focused on healthy and I have maintained that 120 pound weight loss.
 
I no longer hide from my feeling in food! It’s the most freeing feeling in the world, and sharing this freedom is why I do this… Kids deserve moms that can do things with them, not watch them from the couch like I did for 42 years.

As a result of my journey, my mission and passion in life is helping women achieve a feeling of power and freedom in their lives. I want to help them learn how to adjust their mindset and tweak their habits to master the “how” and “why” of losing weight. 

 

My Weight Loss Why

 

At the age of 42 I lost my father to lung cancer. This was the most painful experience of my life. Not only did I lose my mentor in life and my hero. For this reason I realized if I didn’t do something about my weight I wasn’t going to be around when my youngest was 42.

 

I was terrified and I was overwhelmed!  I knew I could lose the weight because I had done it twice before… the problem was maintaining it once I lost it.
 
 
The big problem was the Diet was going to turn into an all-encompassing life suck for a few months, and that was terrifying to me.
 
Of course once I lost the weight, I would lose all control with food again to gain it all back.
 
I was I overwhelmed with anxiety at the thought of failing.   My FAILURE could mean, I wouldn’t be here for my children and my husband.
 

 

Taking my Power Back

 
I began learning all I could about macros, mindset and habits! Then I turned these tools into my own emotional power tool! I took my power back and it felt and feels frickin’ AMAZING!!
 
Losing weight and getting healthy is an amazing journey. But I had to couple it with self insight, self-love and knowledge that there was a process to follow.

I had to choose to fight that nasty little voice in my head that almost “Makes me Eat”.
